Let the Bid Wars Begin
When numbers fly, there’s a sense of urgency pressing down on the room. Words fly along with the numbers, but they’re nonsensical, metronomic, and jumbled with a purpose. The auctioneer’s intent on inspiring excitement with each snap of the wrist as numbers rattle and people fight to be seen over their competitor’s next bid. Of course, it’s all for a good cause. But who says a good cause can’t relish a thrill?
Captain White’s Lowcountry Bash will be here before you know it, and we’re setting the stage for our biggest fundraiser of the year November 7th from 6:30 to 11:00 pm. Items upon items stack the tables of our office space in wait of that moment when they’re auctioned off to a lucky winner.
The Bash offers a chance for discreet bidding through our silent auction, but the real entertainment comes when survival of the fiscally fittest takes place around the Alliance Convention Center. Items for our live auction include: a 3 night stay during Valentine’s weekend at the Sanctuary Resort, 4 passes to the Wyndam golf championship, a Honda generator, and more!
Your contribution, however, doesn’t necessarily come from the bids. We need your reservation to make the Bash a bidding extravaganza! Affordable individual reservations run at $65 a person, and although it’s general admission, you’re sure to find a seat and a new friend to share in the excitement.
Tables of 12 are $1,500 and tables of 10 are $1,250. Split the cost with your closest friends, throw on your shagging jeans, and gear up for some finger-licking good shrimp. If you want two VIP parking passes included in the deal, that’s only a total $1,800 for a table of 12, or $1,500 for a table of 10.
If you don’t like shrimp and the rest of our lowcountry menu, there will also be a non-seafood option. Also, with a performance by the Central Park Band that’s kept us going in the past, the night promises to be a hit.
